Oft touted as Spain's largest and oldest bullring, Ronda's Plaza de Toros is a magnificent monument that pays homage to the country's rich bullfighting tradition. The arena was built entirely from stone in the 18th Century, adorned with majestic columns and graceful arches that support its roof. Famous for its fine sculptures and architectural finesse, each is a beautifully preserved example of historic art and culture. Today, the Plaza de Toros is home to the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda, whose history dates back to the 15th Century. A must-see attraction in Ronda, the Plaza de Toros is open to visitors. A museum at the bullring chronicles the history of bullfighting and the lifestyle of the historic nobility of Spain.
