Albertis Castle built between 1886 and 1893 for Captain E. D'Albertis, is a true architectural splendor. The captain donated it to the city upon his death, along with the ethnographic, archaeological, and marine collections that he assembled during his many journeys to Africa, America, New Guinea, and Oceania. It stands as a testament to the fashion for romantic gardens during this period, which were particularly popular in Genoa. A visit to the castle will also allow you to see exhibit models of ships, yachts, nautical instruments, and photographs.
