Grand Finale - Great Orchestra Of Christmas Charity Foundation

This annual event combines all sorts of artistic events into a giant, city-wide carnival aimed at helping Poland’s disadvantaged children; every year the proceeds of the event are used to support eliminating birth defects or for some other just cause. The Wola area of Warsaw throbs with the beat of bands both famous and unknown, people dance and drink in the streets, and Polish state television broadcasts these and other events live in a sort of telethon atmosphere. Admission to outdoor events is free.
