Formed in Southern California in 1994, (Hed) P.E. demonstrates a new evolution of the punk rock form, integrating hip-hop and a vast array of other musical genres, including reggae, heavy metal and hardcore. The socially conscious rockers are considered at the forefront of the "G-punk" movement, referencing hip-hop's "G-Funk" moniker. The crew is constantly experimenting with new forms and evolving to encompass the various social and musical movements of the day. Originally signed to Jive Records for their first three albums, (Hed) P.E. became independent before moving again to Suburban Noize Records.
