Diego El Cigala is a vocalist who's known for bridging flamenco with contemporary Latin music styles. Using elements of bolero, tango, and jazz, he rose to international recognition with his 2003 LP, Lagrimas Negras. Recorded with jazz pianist Bebo Valdes, the album earned Cigala a Latin Grammy and widespread critical acclaim.
