Randy Brecker is a trumpeter and flugelhornist from Cheltenham, Pennsylvania who has distinguished himself as one of the more sought after studio and touring musicians with his ability to mold his style into a number of genres including rock, jazz, funk and R&B. After getting his start as a session musician on American jazz-rock act Blood, Sweat & Tears' 1967 debut album, he became a charter member of the seminal jazz fusion band The Eleventh House in 1973. Though he has spent a lot of time performing in ensembles, including a lengthy run under the name the Brecker Brothers alongside his saxophonist brother Michael, Randy has maintained an impressive solo career as a bandleader.
