Nick Cave is an Australian artist whose discography extends to post-punk, gothic-rock and experimental rock. He began his career by leading the Birthday Party - a post-punk band whose music reigned through the late 1970s and early 1980s. During this period, he made many evocative songs structured around hard-hitting topics. After the disbandment of the Birthday Party, he started his own band- Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. With his new band, Cave not only honed his style of creating songs which are heavy on emotions, but also experimented with different genres and styles of music composition. The band has created numerous songs which were lauded by fans and critics for their distinctive and unique nature. Along with performing with his band, he also goes on solo tours. Throughout his career, Nick Cave created many amazing songs like "The Mercy Seat," "Loverman" and "Red Right Hand," all of which are just a few examples of why his name is in the prestigious ARIA Hall of Fame.
