Carnivores

Atlanta-based rock outfit Carnivores is considered by many to be the ideal amalgamation of the band's many indie rock influences. Garage-rock is at the forefront of the band's sound, though lurking beneath the raucous clamor is a pop inclining that shows in sunny chords a la African high-life and afro-pop. These tensions have afforded anything but derision, as favorable reviews from the critical elite have gazed fondly on these unruly meat-eaters. The band's second album If I'm Ancient was released in 2010.
