In an American music market dominated by pop country music, alt country bands have an increasingly challenging time carving out their own niche. That challenge has proven to be seemingly simple for Texas' Josh Abbott Band, which has amassed a loyal following of country lovers who don't necessarily subscribe to what's at the top of the Billboard country charts. With that said, the band's 2010 album She's Like Texas was in the top 50 albums on these same charts, proving that even if your not chart-bound, artistic vision and commercial success aren't mutually exclusive.
