Deakin is the moniker for Joshua Dibb, an experimental indie rock musician from Baltimore, Maryland who is perhaps best known as one of the founding members of the wildly successful indie rock band, Animal Collective. In 2006, Deakin decided to take a break from touring with Animal Collective in order to begin focusing on creating and producing his own material. Although the experimental artist's solo career so far pales in comparison to his success as a member of Animal Collective, Deakin still remains a highly sought after musician and performer for festivals and other artists who seek his advice on production. Deakin's first solo album is expected to be released in 2011, much to the excitement of his many fans worldwide.
