It can be frustrating to go to a concert and be part of a crowd too hip to move to the music or one simply unable to find a beat to move to. Members of Gang Gang Dance must have been to shows like this and seen the masses of people looking for an excuse to break the stiff mold and move. The New York based band was formed in 2001 and makes a discernible form of indie dance music that's well suited for, um, dancing. With a fair amount of remixes and collaborations with notable artists like Hot Chip and Tinchy Stryder under its belt, the experimental, rhythm-heavy five piece's music has garnered respect and popularity on the indie scene.
