Rebecca Gates is an indie rock singer/songwriter based in Rhode Island who is perhaps best known for her work with the critically acclaimed group The Spinanes during the 1990s. Described by Entertainment Weekly during her stint with The Spinanes as possessing the "sexiest voices in rock," Gates knew she had the chops to come back to the indie scene in full force as a solo act, and her most recent outing with her new backing combo the Consortium proves that she hasn't missed a beat after nearly a decade-long hiatus. Expecting to release her newest album The Float in 2011, Rebecca Gates is already setting the stage for her return to music performance and fans couldn't be happier.
