Sam Prekop is a pop rock musician who is best-known for his work in the band The Sea and Cake. Though he's offered his talents to various bands, he also releases his own solo material on his long-time label Thrill Jockey, starting with his 1999 eponymous debut album. With a revolving group of musicians helping him realize his sound, including Chad Taylor, Josh Abrams and Jim O'Rourke, he's continued to drop new LPs such as 2015's The Republic.
