Combining the theatricality of a modern circus or vaudeville performance with the sounds of electronic rock and dubstep, Lucent Dossier is a full-scale performance art troupe that tours nationally and internationally, including stops at notable festivals like Coachella and Burning Man. Founded in Los Angeles by artistic director/performer Dream Rockwell, the project has seen several changes and expansions leading up to its current, multi-faceted format. The word "experience" in this particular instance should not be taken lightly, as the troupe creates a truly interactive world for its audience. Temporary tattoo parlors, tarot card readings, gypsy potion stations and more populate the expansive set while traditional and contemporary circus elements such as trapeze artists, tightrope walkers, fire dancers and contortionists perform on the main stage. The whole thing is set to a modern electronic music background, adding plenty of hip, modern flair to the proceedings.
