Huddersfield Giants is a rugby league club that competes professionally in the Super League. Formed in 1864, it is one of the founding members of the Northern Rugby Football Union and is one of the oldest rugby league clubs in the world. Representing Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, the club shares its home stadium with Huddersfield Town F.C. which is the John Smiths Stadium. The club has been quite successful in the history of the sport with seven Rugby Football League Championships and the six Challenge Cup triumphs but the quest for a major trophy since 1962 continues. Also known as the “The Giants” and sometimes called “Fartown”, the club boasts notable alumni including Neil Fox, Mick Sullivan and Albert Rosenfeld who are now present in the Rugby League Hall of Fame.
