Angelos Epithemiou is a fictional character- a former burger van owner, who hates his brother and has a soft spot for Ulrika Jonsson, a Swedish television presenter. It is created and performed by the actor and comedy writer, Daniel Renton Skinner. He has worked on numerous comedy projects and he certainly wrings all his experience into the creation of the unkempt Epithemiou. It was first introduced on the sixth series of British game show, Shooting Stars. The character was a hit with the audience as it was not only hilarious but came with a peculiar backstory which developed with the character’s increasing popularity. Skinner went on the appear as Angelos Epithemiou on numerous other TV shows and also bagged the title of Best Comedy Breakthrough Artist at The British Comedy Awards in 2010.
