KMFDM

KMFDM is a German industrial rock band that was formed as a contribution to the opening ceremony of an exhibition for young European artists at the Grand Palais in Paris. Founded in 1984, the group's music is industrial-metal and electronic blend. The oftentimes political lyrics, its sound has evolved and matured over the years to keep up with the ever changing sonic palate of the public. While touring in the United States for the first time, members made up various names for their band's acronym: "Kill Mother F***ing Depeche Mode" or "Kidnap Madonna For Drug Money." The actual meaning is rather senseless: "Kein Mehrheit Fur die Mitleid" (No Majority For Thee Pity).
