Arlen Roth

Arlen Roth is a New York-based guitarist who has grown into one of the more respected guitarists in his city's burgeoning music scene since he first started playing professionally in 1963. Having served as a backing guitarist for a wide assortment of well known musicians like Paul Simon, Levon Helm, Bob Dylan and Ry Cooder, Roth received notoriety after his debut solo album, 1978's Guitarist, won the prestigious Montreaux Critics' Award for Best Instrumental Album of the Year.
