Chris Tucker is an American comedian and actor best known for his scene-stealing roles in films such as Friday, Jackie Brown and the Rush Hour franchise. Born and raised in Georgia, he got his start after a move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Tucker quickly realized that his comedic talents were earning him a reputation around Hollywood and by 1992 he was a regular performer on Def Comedy Jam. After his defining breakthrough role in Friday (1995), he enjoyed a successful film career until around 2011, when he returned to his love for stand-up comedy.
