The Colorado Symphony Orchestra is a symphony orchestra based out of Denver, Colorado that was established in 1989 as the successor to the Denver Symphony, which dissolved after over half a century as Colorado's most prominent symphony orchestra. Although the orchestra is known best for its performances of the standard repertoire of classical music, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra performs in a variety of modes and styles, from Pops and Family to Holiday and Summer Park concerts. With over 200,000 patrons each year, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra has more than successfully taken on the mantle of its predecessor, and has ensured its role as Colorado's premier symphony orchestra.
