Joe DeVito

Stand-up comedian and writer Joe DeVito was persuaded by his coworkers to pursue a career in entertainment after he had been working as a journalist and advertising writer for over a decade. The encouragement payed off in 2006, when DeVito was invited to perform at Canada's Just for Laughs Festival. His set, packed with quips about his Italian-American family and the monotony of relationships and politics, earned him rave reviews and put him on the map as a prominent up-and-coming comedian. His quick and natural wit attracted invitations to appear on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and NBC's Last Comic Standing.
