Los Straitjackets is an instrumental garage rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. Formed in 1988 as The Straitjackets, the band soon split up before reforming as Los Straitjackets in 1994. Composed of Eddie Angel, Danny Amis, Jimmy Lester and Scott Esbeck the band had built in notoriety in rockabilly circles and only expanded its following into surf and garage rock and roll circles with the release of its debut album, which was released in 1995. Over the years, Los Straitjackets built a reputation for its elaborate live shows, which utilized choreography, guest vocalists, and often the burlesque group The Wold Famous Pontani Sisters.
