Megafauna

Megafauna is a terrestrial zoology term that refers to large animals. Elephants, rhinoceroses and hippopotamuses all fall under this categorization. Sonically evoking the statue and might of the term with its music, the Austin, Texas-based band Megafauna makes a unique style of hard rock by blending together elements of experimental and progressive metal with neo psychedelia. Founded in 2008, the group released its debut album, Larger Than Human, in 2010 and since then it has kept active, releasing additional LPs and touring frequently.
