Born in South Carolina in 1974, Mario Winans began his music career as a child, when he learned to play the piano, keyboards, and drums. His first album, Story of My Heart, was released in 1997. He has since risen to fame as a well-known producer, songwriter and singer in the world of R&B and hip hop, collaborated with such artists as R. Kelly and P Diddy.
