The New West Symphony is a professional regional orchestra in the Los Angeles area that was founded in 1995 out of the ashes of two different orchestra, The Ventura County Symphony and the Conejo Symphony Orchestra. Led by Music Director Boris Brott, the ensemble boasts a classical repertoire of 19th and 20th century symphonic pieces. The New West Symphony offers a Masterpiece Series each year consisting of six classical concerts held in one of three of the orchestras concert halls: the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza and Barnum Hall at Santa Monica High School.
