Notre-Dame de Paris is a musical based on a Victor Hugo novel of the same name. The plot narrates the tragic and unrequited love of the deformed bell ringer Quasimodo. The story explores beauty, love and heartbreak via popular numbers like "Bohémienne," "La fête des fous," "Le mot Phoebus," "Danse mon Esmeralda" and "Dieu que le monde est injuste." The musical premiered in Paris in 1998 and has played worldwide ever since then.
