Crippled Black Phoenix

UK band Crippled Black Phoenix is a group that defies genre association or description. The group consists of former members of Mogwai, Iron Monkey and Electric Wizard making the group somewhat of a super group of experimental prog rock musicians. Often writing long, dynamic songs, Crippled Black Phoenix is an expert in re-inventing song structure and feeling. At times dark, at times transcendent, the group does a masterful job creating nuanced rock music for the 21st century. Crippled Black Phoenix is signed to Portishead producer Geoff Barrow's label Invada Records.
