A Silver Mt. Zion

The musical diversity the Canadian experimental rock band A Silver Mt. Zion (who also goes by Thee Silver Mt. Zion) displays in its songs is impressive and might catch some people with a faint heart off guard. Formed in 1999, by members of other slightly well known Canadian bands, A Silver Mt. Zion has pursued a highly exploratory sound that never panders for approval from any sort of commercial entity. Vocal passages are sparse but the instrumental density more than makes up for the lack of lyrics and when there is singing in the songs, the degree of pensiveness is quite impressive and worthy of praise from nearly anyone who can appreciate good music.
