Peter Kraus is a German entertainer who has found success in both singing and acting. Born in Munich, he began his singing career in the mid-1950s and quickly adapted a style reminiscent of American rock and roll. Because of his fantastic covers of Little Richard songs, German record executives attempted to market him as the country's own version of Elvis Presley. Also similar to Elvis, Kraus soon began to act, combining his musical talents with squeaky clean roles in teen romance movies. Throughout the decades, Kraus's long-lasting appeal has allowed him to ultimately shake the teen idol image and return to music.
