Delhi 2 Dublin is a world music/fusion band based in Vancouver, Canada that is known primarily for its original work fusing Bhangra folk music with Western Celtic music. Although one might see such an attempt at blending two extremely disparate genres as "grasping at straws" in order to come up with something original in the world music genre, Delhi 2 Dublin not only succeeds at coming up with something new, but also succeeds at making its music entertaining and definitely a worthwhile listen for world music enthusiasts everywhere. Since forming in 2006, Delhi 2 Dublin has grown to become one of Canada's most acclaimed world music acts performing today, with its second album, Delhi 2 Dublin Remixed, reaching #1 on the CHARTattack world music charts.
