Great Elk

New York-based band Great Elk has, since 2005, been building a a combination of grassroots and critical support for their special concoction of Americana, rock and pop. Hailed by local press as a band with serious promise, the group's unusually sensitive, nuanced form of indie rock is winning the hearts and minds of a growing number of Brooklyn hipsters. The band made its debut appearance at the massive Texas music festival South By Southwest in 2010, where the group played numerous shows in the hopes that its debut would catapult it further into the national eye.
