Ian Brodie is an musician from Liverpool, England who is probably best known for his work with the alternative rock group The Lightning Seeds as well as for his production credits with bands like Echo & the Bunnymen, The Fall and Shack. Feeling a need to step out from the recording booth, Brodie started writing his own original composition and released his debut LP, Tales Told, in 2004. The album's folk rock sonic aesthetic went over quite well with critics, although the record did not bode so well in terms of strong sales. Brodie's decades of experience both playing music and producing it is extremely evident in many of the songs he plays and an opportunity to see him perform live is not to be missed.
