Lightlooms, a piano-driven indie pop band from Colorado, formed around 2010 after a serendipitous meeting of Meaghan Lillis (vocals/piano) and Joshua Gunslinger (guitar) at a Denver bookstore. The two immediately found musical common ground and decided to start crafting their now solidified version of atmospheric and experimentally-tinged rock and pop. Eventually, bass and violin were brought in to fully flesh out the moody arrangements that accompany Lillis' emotive vocals. Elsewhere, Chris Durant lends Lightlooms a polyrhythmic sound with his frenetically precise drumming that stands out amongst the classical inspired piano and ambient noises.
