Dallas-based four-piece The Beaten Sea mesh the strings and guitar work of indie folk with the twang of neotraditional country, tying everything together through an obsession with the supernatural. The result is a repertoire of intimate folk-country songs littered with ghosts, dead loves and lost souls. The group built a fan base by playing stripped-down living room performances throughout Texas, impressing local audiences with a haunting sound and ability to hypnotize the room.
