Benoit & Sergio is an electronic duo from Washington, DC that makes a characteristic style of dance-ready music that blends disco-sonic aesthetics with concrete, four-on-the-floor house beats. Having put out a number of singles and EPs on revered labels like DFA, Spectral Sound and Visionquest, Benoit & Sergio released its critically respected and well received LP in 2013. The album features less reliance on glossy electronic production, opting to focus on Benjamin "Sergio" Myers lulling voice through which he can communicate oftentimes bleak and morose cryptic lyrics.
