The Mexican indie rock band Volován emerged in 1998 in Monterrey. The band is internationally well-known for its collaborations with Andy Chase (Smashing Pumpkins) and Joe Robinson (Badly Drawn Boy). The band has opened for The Strokes in New York and some of its singles have been included in important soundtracks such as Y tu Mamá También.
