Robert Deeble is a singer/songwriter based out of Seattle that is known for his minimal use of production. Since his 1998 album Earthside Down, Deeble's narrative lyrics and hushed, orchestral compositions have made his music hard to define. It is a contemplative mix of experimental/acoustic rock and minimal pop that captures the melancholy spirit of longing and indifference. The title track of Deeble's 2012 album Heart Like Feathers, released a year prior to the full album, demonstrates a more pop-centric sound with quicker and fuller beats while still embodying his signature sound with violins and hushed vocals.
