Simian Mobile Disco

After the English electronic rock band Simian imploded in 2005, founding members James Ford and James Shaw decided to carry on with strictly electronic endeavors under the moniker Simian Mobile Disco. The duo's ingenuity has propelled SMD toward pioneering a big beat sound that is often imitated but rarely replicated. Performing a number of DJ shows, the duo also plays live sets where the true power and electronic mastery is displayed as both members manipulate analog equipment with seemingly flippant adeptness.
