The E Street Band

The E Street Band is a rock and roll outfit from New Jersey that has served as Bruce Springsteen's primary backing band since 1972. Though the band has found a primary front man in Springsteen, it has also recorded and collaborated with several prolific artists including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Lou Reed, Ringo Starr, Lady Gaga and Aretha Franklin. Composed of seven successful solo musicians, songwriters, producers, actors and session musicians, The E Street Band is regarded as a premiere backing band in the music industry. Having appeared on over fifty albums over the last few decades, the band has been a steadily operating and lucrative machine, apart from brief hiatuses in 1989 and again in 1995.
