Listening to Annabel Alpers's material that she has recorded under the Bachelorette guise is the sonic equivalent of going out on a nice date with someone who only has three years to live: seize the day; but not all can be taken in because there is a dark undercurrent of doomed fate that is eminent. Alpers's music is up beat electro tinged indie pop. The New Zealand based singer/songwriter has been met with some acclaim by audiences and critics, despite her gloomy vocal passages, and with more touring and studio releases, the chanteuse from the Land of Kiwis is sure to become one of the more interesting talents of her generation.
