Art Department is an electronic DJ and production duo based out of Barcelona, Spain. Known for its unbridled enthusiasm of blending a wide variety of genres together, the band has managed to carve out a cohesive and extremely dance-friendly sound. The group released its debut LP The Drawing Board, in 2011 and the album helped establish Art Department as a forward thinking duo that's unafraid of experimenting with its sound in order to achieve its musical endgame. Though mainly filling its songs with quintessential sounds from the house, techno and electronica genres, Art Department also incorporates elements of grime and dubstep into its sonic foray, to provide a bit of timeliness to its sound aesthetic.
