Tego Calderon is a hip-hop artist from Puerto Rico who got his start making cameos on other rappers' recordings before signing with White Lion records in the late 1990s. He released his debut LP, El Abayarde, in 2002, setting himself apart with a reggaeton-infused style of rapping. After relocating to Miami, he began incorporating dancehall elements into his music, leaving much of his reggaeton and Latin influences behind in favor of a more urban sound. Calderon continues to perform and record new material, including 2013's El Que Sabe, Sabe.
