Inspite of numerous bands mushrooming in the city's music scene, Thermal and A Quarter has been one of the significant bands ruling the industry for around 16 years. The band's vocalists and guitarists Michael Dias and Bruce Lee Mani, drummer Rajeev Rajgopal and bassist Leslie Charles have been recognized globally for their innovative music with its Indian subtone. Some of their achievements include five hit albums, international tours and opening acts for biggies like Guns n' Roses and Deep Purple, and being rated among the best 100 rock bands by Blender's Magazine. The Herald sung praises of their popular songs, 'Without Wings', 'Sunset Man' and 'Loot At Me'.
