Parikrama is a rock n' roll band from Delhi, India that doesn't believe music should have any confines. Since forming in 1991, the group has taken an unfettered approach to distributing its music--allowing fans to access its songs through free download. During its early days, when music downloading wasn't as prevalent as it is today, Parikrama allowed individuals who attended the band's shows to record the concert, then make copies of the recording and then distribute the recordings to whoever wanted one. Though the group is primarily considered a die-hard rock group, by incorporating instruments that are typically associated with Indian music, Parikrama has built a solid reputation for itself by blending elements of its cultural heritage with a forward-thinking rock sound
