Rolando Villazon

Rolando Villazon is a Mexican operatic tenor, who moved to France and became a citizen there in 2007. Villazon was discovered by the well known baritone singer Arturo Nieto, Villazon's friend and neighbor, after Nieto circumstantially happened to hear Villazon singing whilst he was taking a shower. After hearing Villazon's amazing voice, Nieto invited him to the music academy, offered vocal training and shortly there after Villazon fell seriously in love with opera--becoming a formidable talent in the operatic vocal community.
