The Greensboro Grasshoppers is an American minor league baseball team that competes in the Northern Division of the South Atlantic League. Founded in 1979, the club currently acts as the Class-A affiliate for the Pittsburgh Pirates and has seen a number of star MLB players pass through its system, including Reggie Sanders, Derek Jeter, Don Mattingly and Mariano Rivera. The team hosts its home games at NewBridge Bank Park in Greensboro, North Carolina.
