When members of the Toronto pop-punk band decided to completely revamp their style and take a rocking approach towards music, they created The Beaches. Named after one of the members' favorite neighborhoods in the city, the band plays the kind of music which has been referred to as "true rock and roll" by many respected critics. It debuted in 2017 with the album Late Show, and bagged the Juno Award for being the Breakthrough Group of the Year. The songs “Money” and “T-Shirt” and some of their best creations and can be credited for putting the band's name on the music charts. This rock-quartet has opened for many popular artists like Rolling Stones' and The Glorious Sons.
