Renowned as the guitarist and co-lead vocalist of Pink Floyd, David Gilmour is a singer/songwriter and musician from Cambridge. After joining Pink Floyd in 1967, he spent that majority of his time writing and touring with the legendary band but also found time for his own projects. In addition to producing music for artists like Dream Academy, he captured his own blued-driven sound on his eponymous debut solo record, which was released in 1978. Though his solo offerings have been few and far between, he's nevertheless earned critical and commercial acclaim for his virtuosic yet distinctive style.
