Ballspielverein Borussia 09 e.V. Dortmund, also known as Borussia Dortmund or BVB, is a German football club based in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia. Founded in 1909, the team competes in the Bundesliga, the highest tier of professional football in Germany, and plays its home games at Westfalenstadion. One of the most decorated clubs in German football history, Borussia Dortmund won its first championship in 1956. It also boasts several DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup titles as well as one UEFA Champions League trophy.
