A pioneer of contemporary rock music, Josh Homme is a musician who is perhaps best-known as a founder and chief songwriter of the band Queens of the Stones Age. Though he made a name for himself with the alternative, hard rock of his long-time band, he's continued to challenge the standards of rock with various other projects. From his work with the stoner rock group Kyuss to co-founding and spearheading the blues and rockabilly-tinged Eagles of Death Metal, Homme never allows industry or commercial expectations to define his work. He formed the supergroup Them Crooked Vultures with John Paul Jones and Dave Grohl in 2009, and event collaborated with the legendary Iggy Pop on an album titled Post Pop Depression, in 2016.
